Το πρόγραμμα είναι πλήρως επιδοτούμενο από το πρόγραμμα Erasmus+, καλύπτονται πλήρως διαμονή και διατροφή και επιστρέφονται ταξιδιωτικά έξοδα από τον οργανισμό υποδοχής έως το μέγιστο ποσό των 360 ευρώ.
Κατά τη διάρκεια του προγράμματος θα χρησιμοποιηθούν μέθοδοι μη τυπικής εκπαίδευσης και η γλώσσα εργασίας θα είναι τα Αγγλικά.
Short Description:
“F.O.L.K. for Justice” is inspired by the past Erasmus+ projects after which the common point resulted upon the reflection on these experiences from our volunteers, was the romantic figure of the forest outlaws form the past, which surprisingly, in one way or another were present in many cultures in Europe, relatively during the same historical periods: haiduci (Balkans), briganti (Italy), bandoleros (Spain), kleftes (Greece), cossacks (Ukraine).
Through this project, we mean to reference the bandit-thief like figures or behaviors, focusing however on to the spirit of independence, prosperity, social justice or similar values, which the outlaws marked as part of our cultural heritage. Besides historical researches, lots of the information about them comes from songs, movies, books, poems and other forms of arts and culture, diverse from country to country or from region to region.
High social classes of the past were imposing taxes for their own economic stability, creating a gap with the lower classes also in terms of social, educational or cultural opportunities. Thus, discrimination or oppression situations were developing; realities not very distant to those we are facing today even in some European realities. The outlaws were fighting against social injustice and corruption, helping the poor ones and the social progress, considering forests and mountains their home.
Lack of economic stability as individual, family, community or region, leads to a general deficiency of literacy, civic sense and even health or self-esteem, while poverty, hunger or social exclusion are around the corner. As in the past, nowadays, the Outlaws became form of libertines, activists and independence lovers, promoting peace, its values and general well-being and equity among citizens, equality in rights, respect for nature, democracy and freedom, aligning with the European values or priorities.
The nostalgic and nevertheless motivational heritage from the outlaws’ songs, movies and stories, are inspiring us, the young generation to step ahead and stand for our right and needs of self-connection, connection with the others and their cultures, with diversity or nature; and this is what explains the title “FOLK for Justice”.
