«If we had to sum up our experience in the program in one word, it would be «awakening». The program was a unique opportunity to learn about eco-biodiversity while connecting with amazing people from different parts of Europe. It was our first time participating in a project with such a strong focus on the environment, and I know it won’t be our last.
Throughout the program, we explored diverse aspects of biodiversity, attended insightful workshops, and learned practical ways to promote sustainable living. It was incredibly empowering to understand how even small changes can make a significant impact.
Beyond the learning, what truly made the experience unforgettable were the people. Living and learning together with peers from all over the Balkans created a beautiful exchange of ideas, cultures, and friendships. We spent 7 days in a stunning natural setting, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to grow as an individual and learn to care more deeply about our planet.»

«My experience in Krushevo in North Macedonia was amazing and I definitely made there some core memories! As I would describe it, it was a very fun “Balkan party”! I had the chance to meet people from other countries, learn about their cultures and traditions and of course teach them my country’s culture as well.
We stayed at a very nice and cozy hotel and the location was a pretty city with amazing autumn landscapes. In the hotel we did most of our activities, specifically in the meeting room, where our intercultural night were held too. The topic of the youth exchange was about the environment and sustainability. Regarding the activities, there was a variety of them that included making posters for the topics, creating a sketch, debating and having conversations for different issues. Some of the activities were also held outdoors, for example we went to the city square, a hiking to the mountains and we visited a famous monument of Krushevo. Our schedule was full and I liked that we did so many things all together. In the evening there was always some time to have fun as well. It was either an intercultural night, where each country had brought some traditional food and drinks of them, or karaoke evenings and plenty of dance in any case! The people I met were so fun and kind and each of us gave its best to contribute to the project with creativity and interesting ideas.
Last but not least, the coordination team did an excellent job and it seemed that they really care and love what they are doing as they treated us the best way possible. I would definitely do another Erasmus project as it has so much to offer and it is an unforgettable experience that will forever stay in my heart. I hope anyone who is reading this right now, if you are thinking of joining a youth exchange, don’t hesitate and do it!»

«Last month I had the chance to participate in an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange program about biodiversity, human impact on the environment, nature & recycling. Since it was my first time participating in a mobility project, I didn’t really know what to expect. For one week, we came together as young Europeans to learn, create, and inspire each other to take action for our planet.
Through interactive workshops, brainstorming sessions, and hands-on projects, we delved into the challenges and opportunities of sustainability. It was amazing to see how different perspectives from across cultures could come together to build a unified vision for a greener future.
But what truly made this experience unforgettable was the connection we built with each other. Every evening, during the intercultural nights or casual conversations, we shared more than just knowledge—we shared dreams and hopes for a better world. Krushevo, with its breath taking landscapes, became our classroom and our home.
This program gave me more than just skills; it gave me a purpose. I left Krushevo not only as an advocate for sustainability but also as someone ready to inspire others to act. The friendships, lessons, and memories from this week will stay with me forever.»
